Donated Equipment
Baseball equipment and apparel donated to youth players in Los Mina.
Through a cultural exchange initiative connecting communities in New York and the Dominican Republic, Fundación Amor por RD distributed internationally donated sports equipment to nine community sports leagues in Los Mina. This effort was made possible through the generosity of The NY Gothams, Greenwich Village Little League (GVLL), and P3, whose support helped expand opportunities for young athletes and strengthen community-based sports programs.
The donation included 1,385 jerseys, 220 caps, 31 belts, 273 pairs of pants, 179 shirts, 11 bats, 300 pairs of socks, 2 gloves, 19 helmets, 10 sliding shorts, 15 catcher’s chest protectors, 2 first aid kits, 6 duffel bags, and 12 sets of running bases for baseball and softball leagues. Soccer teams received 86 jerseys, 51 pairs of socks, 32 pairs of shorts, 30 training vests, and 7 ball mesh bags.
In total, 1,435 players and coaches benefited from these donations, gaining access to essential equipment that improves training conditions, promotes player safety, and supports athletic development. Beyond the field, sports provide valuable lessons in discipline, responsibility, teamwork, leadership, and perseverance—skills that help young people succeed in all areas of life.
We believe that sports are a powerful tool for education and personal growth. By connecting communities across borders and investing in youth development, we help young people build confidence, develop skills, and reach their full potential.
